our lovely & authentic CASA:

We look forward to welcome you in our well-kept 19th century town house, sharing with you its particular & unique atmosphere.

You will find our Casa in the historical centre of Tavira, slow town in a well preserved area of the East Algarve, South Portugal.

This beautiful town house has been renovated by the owner, Paola Boragine, an architect, keeping all original details from the outside & inside and respecting the authenticity of a genuine architecture of Tavira.

There are 5 units available for visitors, offering them the experience of a short stay in this precious and charming Casa:

The name "Casa Beleza Do Sul" means "Home with the Beauty of the South".

our philosophy:

- guests & urban retreats:

Welcoming our Visitors for a unique opportunity to live in an authentic Casa of Tavira at some "boat steps" from the long sandy beach of Tavira's Island. On the groundfloor of the building, we have a cute little room where it is possible to receive massage, yoga, chi-kung from local & professional therapists.

- architecture & renovation:

The whole Casa has been renovated with traditional and ecological materials, respecting the well-kept condition & details of the house, letting the architecture express itself as the main focus.

The impact of new elements are very discreet and in harmony with the original structure, minimising the intervention as much as possible to preserve the authenticity of the Casa.

This delicate task has been planed together with a company specialised in tradicional techniques and ecological renovations: www.embarro.com

- consciousness:

Eco-friendly: using natural and ecological materials, recycling and minimising waste, drinking filtered water.

Fairtrade: buying locally to support local businesses.

Vegetarian breakfast: our guests will receive in their room a welcome courtesy for the first breakfast composed of local products.

our location:

We are located in Tavira’s historical centre, East Algarve, facing the river Gilão & Mercado da Ribeira (originally the city market hall) and at 200 meters from the ferry dock to reach the prestigious island of Tavira.

Tavira town is settled at the door of the National Natural Park called Ria Formosa, unique set of virgin islands extended over 60 km along the coast: a paradise for bird watching, beach walks, coastline biking tours, canoeing, kayaking, kiting, surf, ....
